Study Title ABSORB III RCT
Purpose of Research The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of treating blockages in the coronary arteries with an investigational device called Absorb Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold (BVS) System. It  is compared to a commercially approved metallic stent coated with medication called XIENCE V. It is a randomized trial of 5450 subjects at 160 locations.
Participant Description Subjects with ischemic heart disease caused by up to two de novo coronary artery lesions in separate epicedial vessels.
