The International Heart Institute of Montana Foundation strives to further the education of both clinicians and the public with a wide variety of educational opportunities. The Foundation sponsors internationally-renowned continuing medical education programs for physicians and surgeons each year. It also provides many educational programs open to the community that allow for open forums between doctors and the public. In addition, IHIMF works in conjunction with the American Heart Association to provide CPR training and courses for health care professionals and the public.

The foundation also works in conjunction with The University of Montana both in cutting-edge cardiovascular research and professional education.
